WINTERHALDER POLISHED 60 X 245MM KIENINGER WEIGHT SHELL COMPLETE SET OF 3
Set of three polished brass weight shells 60 x 245mm with an embossed Winterhalder brass band design. The band has an antique bronze/brown colored embossed pattern. The weights are for the Kieninger cable or chain driven movements.
Kieninger movements that use the 6.6, 6.6, and 7.7 weight core inserts:
- Cable driven KS and MS 4/4 Westminster.
- Chain driven triple chime KKU, MKU, and RU.
- Chain driven Westminster KK, and MK.
Used by Howard Miller, Kieninger, and Hermle in many models.
Shell only set includes:
- Three aluminum polished brass finished weight shells with decorative band.
- Six brass finished shell caps with rounded edges.
- Three solid brass M5 male weight hooks.
- Three solid brass M5 male weight rounded nibs.
- Six thick felt pads for between the weight core insert and the cap.
- Three female M5 weight core inserts: 6.6, 6.6, and 7.7 pounds.
- Weight set storage box, a $25 value.
SOLD AS A SET OF 3 WEIGHT SHELLS AND WEIGHT CORE INSERTS.
These weight shells are used on many styles of clocks that use the Kieninger KSU and MSU triple chime movements.
The weight configuration (all three weights are iron with M5 threads on each end):
- Hour Strike: 6.6 pounds (left side location)
- Time: 7.7 pounds (center location)
- Chime: 7.7 pounds (right side location)
Shipment required to be insured and ships in two boxes: one weight core box and one weight shell box.
Recommend using soft gloves when handling the weight shells.
