KIENINGER GRANDFATHER CABLE DRIVEN KIT - OPEN CENTER DIAL
This grandfather clock kit has a high quality Kieninger cable driven triple chime movement. The Kieninger movement plays 4/4 Westminster, Whittington, or St. Michaels each quarter and strikes the full hour. Includes the Automatic Night shut off (ANSO) feature (chimes stopped from 10:00pm - 7:15am). Movement has an automatic beat adjustment, overwind power, removable cable drums, and bronze bushings. Movement comes complete with hands, second hand with decorative gear, pendulum leader, pulleys, and genuine Kieninger crank.
The dial is an antique bronze Winterhalder design pattern with an open center to display the movement works. The secondhand bit is also an open design, and the second hand has a decorative gear that turns with the second hand. Moon arch is embossed, polished brass Arabic numerals, day track with a graphic between numerals with printed antique bronze background. Moon disc with black sky and pierced star pattern.
Dial left and right selectors. Right selector at "3" location: Whitt., St. Mich., Westm., and Melody Off. Left selector at "9" location: Hr. Strike On, Night Silent, and Hr. Strike Off.
Dial signed "Howard Miller".
Dial size: 16 3/8" (415mm) X 11 3/4" (300mm). 1 1/2" dial standoffs.
Polished complete weight sets (weight shell, hook/nib, and weight core). Weight requirements are driven by the lyre pendulum and are 6.6, 8.8, and 8.8 pounds.
The 116cm polished brass pendulum has a 270mm diameter bob with a matching Winterhalder antique bronze center. The pendulum overall length is 42 3/4" and requires a 13 1/2" swing distance.
Chime block has 12 rods which mate to the movement rear hammers. The 12-rod configuration is 8 x 4, and the chime block mounts at the case back.
Movement depth including hand shaft length: 7 5/8"D.
