WEIGHT CORE INSERT 2,000 GRAMS (4.4 LB.) FITS 40MM (1.57") SHELLS
Weight core insert 2,000 grams (4.4 lb.). Internally threaded on both ends (~19mm deep) for 5mm hook and nib, not included. Weight core is not drilled through and therefore does not require a center rod. Iron weight core may be drilled straight through by a machinist in minutes if desired.
Core size: 38mm (1 7/16") diameter x 230mm (9 1/8") L.
Weight core used in Hermle weight shells sizes 40 x 235mm (241 chain movements) or 40 x 264mm (with an extension (not included) for 1151 chain movements) or 50 x 235mm for 451 chain movements with 85cm pendulum.
Hermle 241 weight shell SKU: WSH-241 polished and 1151 weight shell SKU: WSH-1151 polished or brushed. Weight extension available, SKU: WTX-1.
Weight core use details:
- Hermle 1151 chain movement with pendulum or Lyre pendulum below 165mm in diameter on time and hour strike sides.
- Hermle 1151 chain movement with second hand and/or Lyre pendulum above 165mm in diameter on the hour strike side only.
- Hermle 451-030, 451-050, 451-053, and 451-053H chain movements with 85cm pendulum on the time and hour strike sides.
- Hermle 241-030 and 241-080 chain movements on the time and hour strike sides.
Made in Germany.
Weight core inserts are heavy and require precise measurements to confirm that these will fit the weight shells. The expense of shipping is high and if a return is needed can become quite expensive.
