MASON AND SULLIVAN 3314X (KIENINGER RWS-4) CLOCK KIT WITH ARABIC DIAL
This is a rare find of a Mason and Sullivan Kieninger 3314X RWS-4 clock kit that is New Old Stock (NOS). Mason and Sullivan were well known for high quality clock kits. The movement is a Kieninger RWS-4 automatic with Westminster chime and stamped "Exclusive for Mason and Sullivan". The clock movement has been recently professionally lubricated.
This kit embodies the Mason and Sullivan finest quality with the Kieninger RWS-4 with heavy brass movement plates, the signed dial, solid brass mounting brackets, and the exquisite pendulum bob.
The kit includes:
- Kieninger RWS-4 Westminster chime movement for 65cm pendulum. Time cable and Strike and Chime are spring driven. Pendulum is required. RWS-4 hand shaft length 47.8mm. Movement made in Germany.
- Finest quality Arabic numeral white dial with minute ring and second bit. Bezel O.D. 180mm (7"). Outside line of time track: 6 1/4" diameter. Dial is signed "Mason & Sullivan". Made in Germany.
- Serpentine hands and second hand.
- 8 rod (4 x 4 configuration) chime block with mounting hardware.
- Adjustable back mounting brackets.
- Kieninger unfinished wood stick pendulum with the finest fancy 5.5" (140mm) bob. The center of the bob has a nice cut swirl plate and is brushed brass behind the plate. The bob perimeter edge is polished.
- Two selector rods.
- Single pulley and one 50 x 195mm polished weight (shell, caps, male hook/nib, center large rod, and weight core insert).
- Chime block: 4x4 copper screw-in rods. First four: longest rod 10 1/2" and shortest 7 7/8" . Second four: 10 1/2" and shortest 7 1/8". Measured from base middle to rod tip.
- Original Kieninger clock key.
The kit does not include any case wood or case hardware.
