POLISHING COMPOUNDS

Polishing compounds come in cardboard "Peel Away" container ranging in sizes from 4 to 7 ounces. The selection of colors provide various polishing functions. BLACK: Produces a very high luster or color on gold, silver plate, sterling, and precious metals but in a darker color than red rouge. GREEN: Similar to white rouge but imparts a harder luster. RED: Produces a very high luster or color on gold, silver plate, sterling, and precious metals. TRIPOLI: A fine abrasive for removing scratches and surface imperfections before buffing with rouge. Leaves metal scratch free but dull in appearance. Recommended for softer metals. WHITE: A quick cutter for hard metals, such as stainless steel, and chrome. Not to be used on plated articles. YELLOW: This compound is used for all hard metals such as stainless, brass, and particularly for platinum. EMERY: This compound is used on stainless steel and steel and abrasive. CROCUS: This compound is used for gold, silver, copper. Sold in individual containers or as a set of 5. The set of 5 contains REGULAR SIZED RED, YELLOW, TRIPOLI, EMERY, and PLASTIC ROUGES.
